We had a room toward the back, without a beach view, and it was nice and quiet for sleeping. The rooms are cozy but have what you need, including a small closet, a little sitting nook, and a really nice retro bathroom. The complimentary happy-hour drinks each night were a pleasant surprise. Pelican Hotel is in a wonderful spot if you want to be in the heart of South Beach. We loved our stay and hope to come back one day!

The food was incredible. I usually avoid hotel restaurants, but we were exhausted and tried this one. The chef even came out to check that my 16-month-old daughter liked her branzino. The speakeasy was a perfect nightcap, and the service throughout was amazing. We got there around 11 a.m., and the receptionist was so kind. She arranged an early check-in and helped us switch rooms. The rooms were surprisingly spacious and quiet, especially for being right on Ocean Drive. Pelican Hotel exceeded my expectations, with its classic old-school feel and great amenities.

The Italian food at Pelican Hotel South Beach is outstanding and genuinely authentic. I was born and raised in Italy and usually avoid Italian restaurants outside the country like the plague, but this is the one exception I’ve found. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and attentive, and they make you feel at home. The location is right in the heart of South Beach. There are also two huge complimentary drinks each day. Great food, location, atmosphere, and hospitality. Five stars without hesitation, highly recommended. 🇮🇹✨🍹🍹

The rooms were special, very clean, and in a perfect location. Most of the staff were helpful, especially the guy at the front desk. He made sure we had what we needed and went out of his way to find parking for our oversized car. And shoutout to the bartender, who made great drinks and kept reminding us about the complimentary afternoon drink. Such a nice perk. We loved it and would absolutely recommend the hotel.

Breakfast was amazing and the staff were AMAZING, but we barely slept. Music from the bar was so loud that we could hear every word of every song. Then vacuuming at 4 a.m. woke everyone up. Our suite was right beside the elevator, and we heard it every time it moved, especially the constant beeping, plus all the people coming out of it. We were there with my family for our first Miami Beach stay and wanted a great experience. We booked the zebra suite, which was fine apart from the entry room looking a bit like a strip club. It was one of the most expensive rooms, if not the most expensive. The hotel was alright, I guess, but I wouldn’t recommend it if you want proper sleep. 3.4/10
