Tradewinds Apartment Hotel

The price is good for Miami Beach, though the service reflects what you pay. We stayed in building 5 at the back and liked being so close to the bodega, where there was fresh-squeezed orange juice and cortadas nearby. You can walk to just about everything, but it’s far enough from the intoxicated crowds that they don’t bother you. I’d recommend it, but probably wouldn’t stay again.

The apartment-style setup sounds appealing, but the furnishings were really poor. The sofa had a strange stain, and the dining chairs had no support, so you slowly sank through the frames. The mattress had the same problem, and at one point the bed frame collapsed. Half the floor tiles were cracked or chipped, and we heard water squishing beneath them when we walked. The two wall-mounted AC units barely cooled the room, and the dehumidifier was broken. Blinds covered every window for privacy, which made the room feel like a cave. The TV had problems and its remote didn’t work. Wi-Fi was unreliable, spotty, or too slow to be useful. The neighborhood is dense with housing, with a drainage channel nearby. I won’t be back.

Seila at reception was lovely, polite, and professional. We spent a week at the Tradewinds and would stay again. The location made it easy to walk everywhere while staying away from the noise. Our apartment had plenty of space and everything we needed, though it was basic and could use some TLC. The beds were very comfortable. We could hear a lot of impact noise from the guests upstairs, but thankfully it wasn’t too bad.

The staff at Tradewinds Apartment Hotel made us feel welcome and well looked after as soon as we arrived. The property was clean, beautiful, and well maintained, with a relaxing feel. Our room was stylish and comfortable, with everything we needed. Service stood out most: friendly, professional people who were always ready to help with a smile. You can tell they care about giving guests a five-star experience. I had an amazing stay and will definitely return.
