Our host canceled the five-night reservation on the day we were supposed to arrive, and we wound up stranded at the airport looking for another hotel. I'm not sure what happened. Customer service did help when I got through to them. Later that day we drove past, and the building was completely dark with nobody staying there. Still don't know what was going on, but it was a terrible start to the trip. :/

The room was okay, though it wasn't especially clean. The tile floor looked like it would dirty white socks after an hour, and there were small mold spots in the shower caulk. A one-inch gap under every hotel door let in sound, so we ran the central fan at night to drown it out. We could hear everything. At nearly $400 a night after fees and taxes, this wasn't worth coming back to. The resort felt badly mismanaged. The place had the feel of an abandoned hotel that peaked in the early 2000s. The pool and hot tub were marked with rust, the lounge chairs were broken, and plants and weeds were dead and neglected. The lobby and restaurant-bar area felt the same: an abandoned pool table and shuffleboard, filthy chairs, a rusted drink machine on the bar, and glass windows looking into a room piled with old equipment and furniture. Unhoused people came to sleep in the lounge because nobody seemed to be around to guide them off the property. Getting to the elevator meant dealing with three people before you could press your floor button. The woman at the desk had such a bad attitude it was almost funny. She contacted a nicer woman who seemed to sit around on her phone all day, and that woman then contacted the person sitting on a stool in the elevator. After day one, we took the stairs to avoid the elevator czar. Our host had said there wasn't a gym, and now I understand why. The hotel advertises one, but it was more of a treadmill graveyard with broken equipment everywhere.

I checked out right after arriving because I couldn't stay there, but I still haven't received a refund. I paid $900 for the booking and was charged another $300 on arrival, a fee that hadn't been disclosed even though I'd called ahead to confirm the charges. Where is my $300 deposit? This feels like a complete rip-off. The online pictures looked nothing like the place in person. The room was very run down, the door wouldn't lock, and the “jacuzzi” was a cheap blue plastic tub with no water. The hallways and room had a really disturbing smell, and the front-desk staff were rude and unhelpful. Save yourself the stress, time, and money. Don't stay here.

My wife and I flew in to find ourselves stranded on the street. The entire hotel was closed, and nobody had told us it had been condemned more than a month earlier. We'd booked through expedia. The worst possible experience.

We couldn't wait to leave. The room curtains were broken, there was mold in the shower grout, some lights didn't work, and a party at the dirty pool went on all night. The place felt downright sketchy, like an abandoned Cheesecake Factory. At $400 a night, it was nowhere near worth it, and I can't understand the annual AAA awards displayed on the lobby walls. The location was great and staff were nice, but the hotel's security seemed questionable. You didn't need a room key to call the elevator or pick a floor. At check-in, they handed us a paper listing amenities that simply weren't there: complimentary champagne, an in-room mini bar, a poolside bar, and a premium DJ at the pool every Saturday and Sunday from 12-6. No champagne, the fridge was empty, and there was no bar or DJ. Why advertise them?
