The quiet hours are posted as starting at 10 PM, but they didn’t seem to be enforced until much later, especially on the weekend. We’re light sleepers and went to bed sober. Our neighbors kept going in and out, slamming the door, and arguing at one point. People outside also seemed to be partying and yelling past midnight. Once we let the neighbors know we were there, they tried to keep their voices down, but the door kept slamming and we couldn’t get consistent, restful sleep. The private rooms are right next to each other behind a shared main entrance, so who’s next door can make or break your stay. If you’re a light sleeper and want a quiet night, that’s a real gamble. Heavy sleepers, people out late, or anyone who doesn’t mind noise might do fine here. We stayed one night and were able to check in a little early. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the price was very reasonable for a private room, and there’s a large patio, shared kitchen, free Wi-Fi, and even cats on the property, which was a fun bonus. Our small private room was cozy enough for a short stay, with a tiny bathroom and mini fridge. It was clean enough, but the TV didn’t work and there was no microwave. The biggest problem was the noise, but there were some other oddities too. One of the shared kitchen fridges smelled awful and seemed to have old or rotting food in it. When I plugged my phone into the room wall outlet, it showed a “liquid detected” warning and wouldn’t charge. It worked fine in the car, but showed the warning again when I plugged it back in, so that was strange and inconvenient. You also couldn’t control the room temperature. The area felt a little sketchy, though the password-protected doors helped us feel safe. For three stars, the value is good, the patio is nice, and the staff are kind. But that noise situation really affected our stay.
Roberto & Giancarlo are the best hosts. They’re always ready to help and support you, whatever the time or circumstances. The place is very clean, from the rooms and bathroom to the “living room” chill area. The no-alcohol and no-smoking rules help keep things in order, and give the place a family-like atmosphere. It’s an awesome stay for the price, worth every penny. Highly recommend.
The large gated patio was a lovely extra, and the private room was clean and spacious. The secure setup, including code entry, made me feel completely safe, even though the neighborhood isn’t the fanciest. Atrium Design District exceeded my expectations for the price. I’d definitely stay again.
Clean and comfortable, it felt like a home away from home. One of the best hostel stays I’ve had.
We loved the place so much that we’ve already booked it again for our next Miami trip in November. It’s great value for the money, and we’ll be happy to return. The room we’d booked turned out to be a whole apartment, which was a lovely surprise. It was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. There was a big kitchen with a cooker and fridge, plus a washing machine and dryer. A little chocolate candy had been left on our bed, a nice touch. When we arrived at Atrium Hostel, the host was waiting outside and helped carry our luggage upstairs. He was also quick to answer our questions and helpful throughout our stay.
