We booked two rooms at the last minute because a winter storm delayed our trip. The airport location was convenient, and the clean rooms looked like the pictures. The showers were small but fine for a quick rinse before flying. The booking was straightforward, and staff replied to messages through the portal. On arrival, we found an unlocked back door in one room and were able to lock it. All the windows were unlocked, and one couldn’t be secured, which made us worry about someone getting into the room. We had confirmation codes for both rooms but initially received an access code for only one. Staff first insisted rudely that both had been sent, despite our repeated messages. After we kept following up, they resent the second code, and check-in went smoothly. Management should respond to concerns promptly and take guest feedback seriously, even when they see things differently.

Casa Agave did the job for our unexpected Miami layover. The airport is close by, and the price was much better than airport hotels. It feels more like an Airbnb than a hotel, so the self check-in won’t surprise you if you’re used to that. There’s no front desk or on-site staff. The room looked nice, and the bed was comfortable, but the bathroom is extremely tiny. I’m not a big person and could barely shower without touching a wall or the glass. The tile and fixtures were pretty, but I wouldn’t want to use that bathroom for more than a day or two. The windows were shut but unlocked. We managed to lock both of ours, but the other couple with us couldn’t secure theirs. The neighborhood didn’t feel unsafe, though unlocked windows still didn’t feel okay. Management’s communication was only so-so. We booked through Expedia, which may have caused some issues, but the back-and-forth was unhelpful and a little rude. We got codes and information for just one of our two rooms, then received the canned reply, “we already sent it.” After calls and messages went unanswered, the missing information finally came through. We’d stay again in a pinch for one night, but would look elsewhere for anything longer.

Everything we needed was in the very clean room, and the small bathroom worked just fine. Calle Ocho’s shops, restaurants, bars, and music were only a short walk away. The location couldn’t have been better.

As a Miami local who often travels between Los Angeles and abroad in summer, I appreciated Casa Agave’s central location, clean rooms, and attentive service. Unlike a lot of Airbnbs and boutique hotels, they provide regular room service, which made the place convenient for both a weekend and a longer stay. My visit felt safe, comfortable, and well managed. I’ve seen negative comments about safety and service, but from my experience those concerns are misplaced. Guests looking for a luxury five-star hotel may prefer places like the Four Seasons. Some negative reviews seem to come from expectations that don’t fit what Casa Agave offers. It delivers comfort, cleanliness, attentive service, and good value in a central spot. I’d gladly return and recommend it.

The hotel’s bar was a highlight, with a beautiful look and a lively atmosphere that made it a great place to unwind or catch up with friends in the evening. Staff across the hotel were friendly, professional, and ready to help. Everything I needed was within a short walk, too. I had a fantastic stay and would come back.
