Element by Marriott Miami International Airport

We had a long gap between getting off our cruise at 9:00 AM and our 10:00 PM flight, so we bought a day pass at Element Miami to avoid spending the whole day walking around with luggage. It was a great place to rest and recharge before flying, and I'd happily stay there again. The room had loads of space for us, a full kitchen, a roomy living area, and a big modern bathroom with a chic look. The beds were very comfortable, and there was even a proper workspace for meetings or getting some work done. I'd recommend it for the comfort, convenience, and room to spread out.

Getting around is the awkward part. The hotel is in a weird area, so expect to use delivery or rideshare to get where you want to go. I've stayed here several times over the past decade, though, and it's been reliable. The rooms are large and clean with nice bathrooms, the lobby is spacious, and the WiFi has been fast. Staff have been helpful, and I like the breakfast buffet. The shuttle has worked efficiently too. Tip: if you're arriving early or late, use the one from Even Hotel's.

The hotel was clean and the staff were courteous, but after a one-night stay we left disappointed. We'd chosen this Element because we'd loved the one in Chattanooga, and this location didn't meet the same standard. Our room felt smaller than expected, and we'd booked for five people but found only three towels. The sofa bed wasn't made up and had no sheets or blankets, so we had to ask for bedding. Parking also came with an extra fee that felt unnecessary after paying for the room. Breakfast was much more limited than in Chattanooga, mostly eggs and sausage with few other choices. The Chobani yogurt didn't seem fresh and tasted old. There were no individual blueberry or strawberry spread packets either, just shared containers, which felt less hygienic. We hope management addresses these things so stays at Element properties feel more consistent.

The employee who eventually helped with my bags was kind, and I tipped him. Still, the front desk's dismissive tone and inconsistent communication caused unnecessary stress while I was recovering from surgery. I shouldn't have had to feel like a burden for asking for help they'd already promised. Better communication between shifts and more compassionate service would make a big difference. This happened 2/14/26 at 5:40 am. The night before checkout, I confirmed someone could help with my luggage in the morning because I'd just had a medical procedure. They told me to call the desk when I was ready. When I called the next morning, I was abruptly told, “We don’t have a bell hop, sorry,” and asked who had promised help. After I explained, the staff member asked, “Don’t you have a nurse?” It felt dismissive and inappropriate. The call ended abruptly. When I called back, they said someone would “do me a favor.” I waited, then went down myself to follow up and was told again there was no bell hop. Eventually someone came, but the help felt reluctant and awkward. Getting my bags wheeled to the front felt like pulling teeth instead of ordinary guest service.
