Four Points by Sheraton Miami Airport

We were in Miami just to catch our cruise, and the clean room worked perfectly for the stay. The shuttle can take you to the cruise port and pick you up, and it also covers you if you need to get to the airport. We didn’t have to go out, since there’s a bar downstairs serving drinks and food. I’d do it again!

The hotel shuttle was such a mess that I ended up taking an Uber. I waited an hour and a half at the airport while shuttles for other hotels within five miles came through five times. I called the hotel four times and got a different answer each time. They asked whether I wanted to speak with a manager when I arrived, and I said yes. After the long wait, I was told the manager was on break and unavailable, but could call me. I agreed, but no call ever came. I also contacted Marriott customer service. They said they’d ask the hotel to call me, and I’m still waiting. Sheratons are the worst brand in the portfolio. From start to finish this was awful customer service. Avoid this hotel.

Maria made our arrival feel special, even though we got there early. She stored our bags and let us use the pool while we waited, made sure we had towels, then brought my key right to me poolside once the room was ready. It’s rare to get that kind of extra care from an employee. Those little touches made the stay wonderful. Thanks, Maria!

The room was clean, and the people were nice, but that’s about all this place has going for it. The WiFi was terrible, and the beds were hard as rocks, if that’s your thing. There’s no shelf in the shower, so anything besides the provided shampoo, conditioner and body wash has to be juggled while you wash. The walls are paper thin, and you can hear people talking everywhere. It might do if you just need somewhere to rest for a couple of hours. I wouldn’t stay again.
