Mayfair House Hotel & Garden

The service felt just as special as the place itself. David and Greg at the front desk, along with Evelyn and JC at the rooftop bar, made every moment feel personal. My wife and I are already looking forward to coming back. The Mayfair House Hotel & Garden has the feeling of a work of art you can live in. Learning about the building’s history made the stay even richer, like traveling through time while still enjoying today’s comfort and technology. Across its different levels, tropical plants cascade through the spaces, and the architecture brings the greenery, light, and materials together in ways that spark creativity. The colors, textures, and details seem to tell a story, especially if you slow down and take it all in. Some hotels simply host you. This one transformed the experience for me.

David and Greg at the front desk, and Evelyn and JC at the rooftop bar, made the stay memorable with their wonderful hospitality. The food was delicious, and the service was exceptional. Mayfair House is enchanting and one of a kind, with Kenneth Treister’s striking architectural concept, its atrium, sculptural terraces, and gardens throughout. The hotel feels like a living work of art. Our room was bold, sexy, and full of character, with a brilliant nod to 1980s Miami postmodern design. It’s the people who bring guests back, along with the building.

The courtesy breakfast was slow, and the wait staff seemed inattentive, so we skipped it on the second day. The Mayfair Grille, though, was excellent. I liked the decor and all the plants throughout the hotel, a welcome change from many other hotels. Part of it is open-air, which adds to the Miami, South Florida, atmosphere. The staff were friendly, and I noticed the manager was very accommodating with the people he spoke to. It’s right in the heart of the “Grove,” close to shopping and restaurants.

The Mayfair feels special because of the people. David was so cheerful at check-in, cracking jokes and making me feel at home right away. You can tell he loves welcoming guests and his job. For the BEST espresso martinis, go see Antonio at the restaurant. He’s kind and professional, and really has a gift for making them. He’s spoiled me, and now nothing else compares. Daniel Denis also deserves a huge shout out. He’s the kindest, most helpful and professional person, and our events go smoothly because he pays attention to every detail and keeps checking in to make sure we’re having the best experience. The Mayfair has a great team, and the way they treat guests shows how well the staff are cared for.
