Seven Seas Hotel

I was unbelievably disappointed after spending $140. There was no refrigerator or microwave in any of the rooms, and I never got back the deposit they promised to return. Huge flying cockroaches were in the room, and swarms of black sweet ants kept getting onto the bed through cracks around the window hinges. The AC blew hot air with a moldy mist. I woke up sick and extremely congested, like I was "7 seas under water" in congestion after trying to sleep there. The towels had stains from previous use and barely seemed laundered. For what it cost, this motel was mediocre.

The AC filter was filthy and covered in mildew and mold, and even the outside plastic was stained where mold pores seemed to be oozing out. The room was filthy and infested with roaches, and the staff's hostility was awful. I'm baffled that a business like this can operate when hotels have quality standards to maintain. The owners and staff should be ashamed of providing such a vile environment with no consideration for others. Shut it down.

The office closes at 11 p.m., and after that you are on your own, with no service until 7 a.m. The Wi-Fi was terrible, roaches crawled up the walls and around the restroom, and the AC was broken and didn't cool. The rooms were very dirty. The TV had only three working channels. It was a horrible sight and stay, and I wouldn't recommend this motel to anyone. No one deserves a place this nasty.

I've lived here for a little over a year, and this is where I call home. It isn't glamorous and it isn't completely roach free, but the staff, owners, other tenants, and basic comforts give the place a lot of heart. Miami is subtropical all year round, so bugs are part of the natural order here. Keep that in mind when you're fending off a six-inch mosquito or spraying a few cockroaches into a back-spinning, leg-shaking death dance! LOL
