Staybridge Suites Miami International Airport by IHG

Mark at the front desk found us another room quickly, even though the hotel was fully booked. We’d checked in late and noticed a strong smell in our room. It had a small kitchen, so I’m guessing someone had cooked something strong the day before or so. The smell remained, and we asked to move early the next morning. Everyone was very nice and helpful, and the rooms are clean and nice. The location is great too. Our shuttle driver was prompt, friendly, and helpful.

The room was immaculate, and housekeeping did a top-notch job. The suites are huge, with a delicious complimentary breakfast and free evening food. It’s also clean and conveniently located for getting around Miami. Everyone made me feel like I was staying in someone’s home. The van driver, valet team, breakfast crew, front desk staff, everyone was so nice from the moment I landed. Loved this hotel.

Getting around without a car is easy from this Staybridge Suites Miami International Airport: the Miami Intermodal Center is steps away, with the Metro, Tri-Rail, and city buses nearby. The staff were the best part of our week-long stay, consistently kind, helpful, and professional. The room and food were less convincing. Breakfast was decent, but the waffle batter was always thin and runny, and the scones came out flat. The pillows didn’t seem to match the brand standard I’m used to as a frequent guest. Planes and trains make it very loud here. I’d bring a white noise app if you want to sleep well. Parking is valet-only. There is street parking nearby, but it feels a bit risky in this area, so valet is the safer option, though more expensive. For commuters, the transit and service are great, but the amenities felt below the usual Staybridge level. Pack earplugs.

Maykel Alonso, the assistant GM, deserves a special mention. He went well above and beyond when we needed to extend our stay at short notice. The location near Miami International Airport is handy, and the free shuttle made getting there and leaving easy. My suite was spacious, spotless, and laid out well, with a fully equipped kitchenette that made it feel like a small apartment. The bed was comfortable, and everything seemed well maintained. Breakfast was complimentary and hot, with plenty of choices, especially the waffles. There’s also a fitness center, outdoor pool, and free laundry, which work well for short or longer visits. The staff were welcoming, professional, and sincerely helpful from the start, as other Google reviews also suggest. I had a great stay at Staybridge Suites Miami International Airport, Miami, FL. It’s good value, comfortable, and I’d happily return and recommend it to anyone passing through Miami.
