Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Raynham Middleborough/Plymouth

I stay here a lot, and about three quarters of the time I wake up to a couple in the middle of things, loudly. One time they were in the room above me, other times next door. I’m not dreaming it. Is this place on some local “cheating spot” registry, or is there something in the air? It’s clean and ideally located, though it could use some updating. If you’re a couple looking for romance, apparently this is the spot. And if guests are doing their cardio in the rooms, the hotel could use more treadmills that actually work. Time for some new ones :)

The only real plus for me was having a Dunkin right next door. The hotel was under construction during my seven-night stay in December 2025, though nothing on the booking page mentioned the renovation when I prepaid. I couldn’t use the lobby breakfast area to work or relax after breakfast, and there weren’t common spaces like at other Marriott-branded hotels. Breakfast was sparse, with a good spread on only one day. The room fridge was frozen over, and a hot, steamy shower set off the smoke detector. The staff weren’t outright rude, but they weren’t hospitable or friendly, and asking for anything made me feel like a burden. As an IHG Platinum member who stayed at more than 49 different Marriott portfolio brands this year, I’d say this wasn’t one of the better stays. I wouldn’t choose this location again if I’m in the area.

The staff have been kind, efficient and accommodating, and the breakfast was fresh and hot, with everything from cereal and waffles to eggs and bacon. My room was quiet, comfortable and clean, with fresh carpets and newly renovated furnishings. There’s plenty of free parking, plus on-site laundry and a workout room. I’d happily recommend this hotel.
