Courtyard by Marriott Cleveland Airport South

The pool wasn't working, which was the biggest disappointment, and the entrance was a little confusing. The rooms were maintained and the food was pretty good, but dining service missed the mark. My son and I were the only ones eating, yet I had to order at the bar instead of at a table. They gave me a glass of ice and told me where to fill it with water, or I could buy a bottle. Whaaaaa??? I don't mind the setup by itself, but that's not how other Courtyards have handled it when we're the only diners, or even when others are eating too. The location was okayish.

The restaurant was fantastic, and the Cobb salad was fresh and on point. Breakfast was wonderful too, and the staff were exceptional. Derek at the Front Desk was especially amazing. When I called looking for my lost medical device, he helped me track it down and went way above and beyond. He literally saved my life. Everything he told me was true. I'll refer everybody there. Thanks again, Derek!

My company card was charged twice by Courtyard Cleveland Airport South, and the duplicate charge is still unresolved after more than a month. I've spent that time trying to get it fixed. Over several weeks I was told repeatedly that it had been submitted, then that it hadn't, or that only a manager could handle it. I was also promised several times that a manager would take care of it and call me, but nobody has. Now I can't reconcile my expense reports or make other purchases that are critical for my business because of the duplicate charge. With billing problems handled this slowly, I urge travelers to avoid this hotel.

Amber stayed late at the bar and gave great service. She was incredibly helpful and needs a raise.
