We had two queen beds and a balcony in a room with classic elegance. A little over $800 a night in the off season is a lot, so be ready to spend, but for a night or two it’s a fabulous experience. We came for my birthday after my friend planned wineries, dinner in town, and a hotel spa day, and the place was just wow. The building is beautiful, with lovely high ceilings and architecture. I especially liked the breakfast dining area, the other lounge rooms, and the dark wood library where you can borrow or leave books. From the front door on, the service was incredible. The gentleman at the desk answered our questions and explained that car service to wineries and restaurants in town was included. Cayden looked after us graciously at the busy bar and restaurant, and made sure we were attended to. Breakfast was another favorite space, with marvelous food and service. We shared the pancakes and salmon platter. The spa was gorgeous and relaxing. My friend enjoyed the spa amenities, while I loved sitting on the heated stone lounge chair. The treatment room was beautiful, and the massage chair could be set more upright. Derek had magical hands, eased a lot of my tension, checked about the pressure, and adjusted well to the different needs of my body. Definitely worth considering if you’re up for the cost.

Our daughter's wedding reception was flawless. All 120 guests were served their meals within minutes of each other, wine glasses were topped up without us asking, and the bar lines moved quickly. The guests talked about how beautiful the hotel and grounds were, but praised the customer service even more. Alex Smith helped with arrangements and planning from the start and stayed by our side throughout the wedding day to keep everything seamless. The hotel was accommodating and wonderful to work with from day one, and every employee took ownership when we asked for something. It was a magical night. Thank you for making the wedding so perfect.

I was here for a software user conference, and everything was paid for, so I can’t speak to the price. The resort grounds were lovely and gave people plenty to do during our breaks. I had a lot of fun on the zip line course, and other people raved about horseback riding. The drive through the picturesque town and arrival at the resort offered beautiful sights and experiences.

The owners are clearly committed to making guests feel cared for, and the staff help make each visit feel personal. It’s a beautiful hotel and spa with gardens, fireplaces, spacious lounges, and a full spa. The food, location, and people all made it easy to relax and enjoy our time.

Dinner at Harrimans was a major highlight, outstanding and honestly on par with Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant. They even printed a special anniversary menu for us, though the signed copy we were promised never came back. Breakfast was good too, except the Monkey Bread was dry and came with a strange lemon sauce that wasn’t like traditional monkey bread. The spa was wonderful, although I caught my toe on a loose floor panel in the women’s tropical storm shower. We enjoyed the walking trails, and an all-terrain stroller should manage them fine. We celebrated our 10-year anniversary here. The property is beautiful, but there were some unexpected issues. The room only had XL robes, which dragged on the floor on me at 5'3" and were too big even for my 5'8" husband. The spa robes fit much better. The bed was very firm, and I slept poorly because of it. A bottle of Prosecco with a “Happy Anniversary” note had been left in our room, but showed up as an $80 charge at checkout. The front desk removed it right away. The gym’s 7 to 7 hours made it unusable for us. It opened too late for a workout before breakfast and closed before dinner was done. It should be open 24 hours, or at least 5 am to 10 pm, since those early morning and evening hours are typical gym times. It was disappointing to miss working out unless we gave up daytime activities. Several guests asked about modern board games after we brought Spledor and people wanted to play, so adding games beyond chess and backgammon would be nice. Despite the problems, we’d like to return in a few years in summer, when our daughter is old enough to enjoy horseback riding, archery, and zip lining.
