The employees were super nice, and they deserve better than the situation they’re working in. A little care could make this an okay place, but the lack of resources leaves them set up to fail. There was no heat, just a noisy fan, and at check-in I was told there was no hot water either. My room looked clean at first, but it had damage everywhere and clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. The floor hadn’t even been swept, much less mopped, and I pulled a plastic fork out of the bathroom sink. The door looked like it had been bashed in at least once. With no hot water, I also doubt the bedding was clean.

I couldn’t get the window to close all the way, and with no heaters working anywhere in the hotel in the middle of winter, I slept in my ski thermals. The first room was disgusting, rubbish on the floor and neither single bed made, with no sheets at all. It looked like a crime scene. In the next room, there were sheets but no blankets, and I was told there weren’t any left in the whole hotel. I’ve traveled since I was five, I’m 49 now and have been to more than 50 countries, including some pretty awful places, but this was one of the worst. The $55 wasn’t worth it. The Wi-Fi didn’t work, and I couldn’t pay with Apple Pay either. I wouldn’t stay again even if they paid me.

I left without checking in after the front desk told me the hotel had no hot water or heat. In freezing Salt Lake City weather, the room wasn’t habitable. They said I could cancel and clearly promised, “we won’t charge you.” Two days later I discovered they had charged me $180 anyway. Charging someone who never stayed after confirming a full refund is unacceptable and very unprofessional. I strongly recommend staying somewhere else.

The rooms are beat up, and there was no heater or the breakfast advertised. I’ve stayed in cheap hotels in third-world countries that were far better. Believe the horror stories and don’t book here. Honestly, this place shouldn’t be legally allowed to operate.

I ended up trying three rooms before finding one that was reasonably acceptable. The first had no heat, no bathroom light, and no TV because its wire had been ripped from the wall and not replaced. The second also had no heat, and its TV was broken. In the third, there were no towels and still no heat, so I’m sitting here in my jacket writing this. The stay was awful from the start. This place is great if you don’t expect things like towels, heat, a TV, or the free breakfast shown on the website. Even the vending machine is overpriced, with items starting at $3 and sodas at $3.50. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
