Holiday Inn Express & Suites MILAN – SANDUSKY AREA by IHG

The Turnpike is close by, so nighttime noise can be annoying. Room features vary too, with showers that may be old or new and mini-fridges ranging from quiet to loud. Still, it’s a decent place, and yes, I’d stay again. I’d have some reservations about it, though.

The room was comfortable and the staff were polite and efficient. There were food crumbs and a wrapper on the chair, but they cleaned it quickly when I mentioned it. Nothing else went wrong during my night there. It’s not fancy, but it was a good stay.

Each time we’ve stayed at this Holiday Inn, it’s been clean, and the staff have always been friendly and helpful. The guy who checked us in, sorry, I can’t remember his name, suggested a couple of restaurants.

Our first night went really well. The room was clean and perfect, service was great, and breakfast the next morning was good. We’d booked one night for the weekend, but ended up needing a second because of the timing, so we returned after checking out that morning. When we checked in again, the desk person gave the room we’d been assigned to someone who had been behind us in line. We were already in the room trying to get settled when the door opened and that person came in. It was very late, I understand, but we’d been told there were plenty of rooms available. We had kids with us, and it scared them. We come to this area every year for an event and will probably need a hotel again. Hopefully this mix-up won’t happen next time.
