Red Barn Motel

The staff made check-in and checkout easy, and they were kind, helpful, and knew their stuff. Our room was spotless, and the views were stunning. I was surprised to find a thriving vegetable garden guests can pick from, with radishes, cabbage, lettuce, fennel, and more. Such a hidden gem. I'll be back!

There's a cafe, restaurant, and grocery store close enough to walk to, and the location felt safe. The recently renovated motel sits by the river in two buildings. All rooms in the building with the office face the river. Our double queen room had a river view, clean modern vinyl floors, comfortable beds, and good heat. There was no mold. The shower had been updated, though the bathroom sink and toilet still need replacing. Schoodic NP is about a 30-minute drive away.

We paid $150 a night after tax, which seemed reasonable for coastal Maine. This little motel is tucked by the river, with a garden where you can look around for anything ripe. The recent remodel is nice, and check-in and checkout were quick. Our room was clean and smelled good, with no mould, and everyone was friendly.

We stayed in the Garden view building for three nights and could see across the property to the water. The views were amazing, and it was a beautiful spot. Our room was clean, had all the amenities I could want, and we weren't bothered by noise from other rooms. Everyone kept to themselves, which made it pleasant. The microwave was acting up, but staff said they'd fix it as soon as possible and let us use the one in the staff room in the meantime, which was really nice. The staff were super nice too. My girlfriend and I will come back on our next vacation.
