Hampton Inn & Suites Lamar

The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was a real plus: eggs, meat, and waffles in a nice room. Our room had two queen beds, in-room coffee, and a view of the mountain ridge. I paid $136 per night total. Still, I can’t call it good value. The pool was closed during my January 2026 stay, the heater was hard to manage unless I used the “emergency heat” setting, and the third-floor ice machine was extremely noisy.

I was worn out and getting cranky after trying to drive nonstop from Nashville, TN to NY. It was the weekend before Christmas, with heavy traffic and strong winds, and my son searched Google for nearby hotels. Luckily, the Hampton Inn in Lamar, PA had a room available. Shawn greeted me warmly and stayed upbeat. He was quick, but never made me feel rushed, and his customer service deserves recognition. The room was fully updated and everything was clean. There were warm cookies for a bedtime treat, too. I’m so glad we picked this Hampton Inn. I’ve saved it on my phone and will definitely return. Thanks, Shawn, for turning my bad mood around. Highly recommend this Hampton Inn.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this place was spotless and everything was great, especially for the price. Breakfast was really good, and the employee looking after it was courteous. I dealt with three different people at the front desk, and every one of them went above and beyond.

From the lobby to the guest rooms, the property was spotless and thoughtfully designed. The renovation has made the rooms feel fresh, comfortable, and welcoming, with modern updates throughout. Staff were professional and friendly, and made a real effort to make my stay enjoyable. The convenient amenities and inviting atmosphere show how much the renovation has improved the hotel. It deserves five stars. I’d gladly stay again and recommend it.
