Travelodge Mill Valley/Sausalito

At least the bathroom had a walk-in shower, and the floors were clean. That was about it. We asked for two queen beds and were given an accessible room with one full bed and one twin. The whole room smelled like someone had smoked throughout it. One of the two TV remotes worked, so we had to figure out which one. The walls were dirty, and I didn't even want to know what with. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable. They'd folded the bathroom tissue into flowers, but used water to hold the folds, which wrecked the whole toilet paper roll. We expected to look out at nature, but the only windows faced the parking lot.

The rooms were clean and nice, and the staff were super helpful. It's a quiet spot with plenty of essentials close by, a good place to stay if you're heading to San Francisco but don't want to be in the city itself. My only real snag was the shortage of outlets by the beds. I needed to run my CPAP and charge my tablet, phone, and smartwatch, so I was glad I'd brought an extension cord. They gave me extra pillows and towels without a fuss, and the accessible rooms are great for people with mobility issues.

The area felt safe to me, and I wasn't concerned about leaving my vehicle there. I also didn't notice much highway noise, and working remotely caused me no problems. Staff were helpful and the rooms were clean. It's a convenient motel for a visit to the Golden gate recreation area. Breakfast is up to you, though I suppose the price reflects that.

It brought back memories of those old-school motels that were kept in amazing shape. The facility is older, but very clean and well maintained, and the staff were really helpful. I had a nice, relaxing night.
