Sleep Inn & Suites Millbrook - Prattville

The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the place was clean and quiet. My problem was the cleaner or air freshener they use. The smell was very strong in the lobby, hallways, and rooms. My husband wasn't bothered, but I got headaches and a dry, scratchy throat, and nearly lost my voice. I had none of those symptoms before checking in. Apart from that, the hotel was great.

We only needed a room for one night, and it did the job. The hotel and room were clean, with no complaints from us. Breakfast wasn't my favorite and the parking lot is small, but arriving a little after midnight and leaving the next morning, it suited us just fine. I'd stay again.

The bathroom was strange and gross, with yellow stains all around the sink, and cracks and holes across the ceiling. The hallways smelled like wet mold, which they seemed to be covering up with air fresheners. At check-in, a man outside smoking turned out to be the concierge. My husband and I thought he was a guest, but he told us to wait three minutes while he finished his cigarette before he'd check us in. That was rude and unprofessional. We usually love staying at Sleep Inn's, but not this one. I highly do not recommend it.

The palm trees out front are beautiful and gave me warm fuzzy feelings of faraway places and climates. The Millbrook Dream is right here. It's clean, the breakfast is fantastic, the staff are the best anywhere, and the place is affordable too. Leave a couple bucks on the bed for the workers, would ya'??
