Hilton Short Hills

I like the restaurant and bar, and the food was pretty good. The enclosed parking area is handy when it’s snowing, though I find the extra parking charge insulting. How else are guests supposed to get to the hotel? They could just include it in the room rate. It seems to be the norm around here, for some reason. The Marriott charges too, and there you park outside. The room itself is very quiet, with a comfortable bed, so I got a great night’s sleep. It’s a good choice for a business trip.

12/6/25 I ended up here because another hotel was overbooked, and I’m really glad I did. The room was spotless and spacious, with mirrors EVERYWHERE. I even appreciated that the bathroom had a bar of soap for showering, as well as shower gel, which most hotels only provide. The lobby was huge and luxurious, and the room was even better. The receptionists were helpful and pleasant. I also liked that you need a keycard to get up to the rooms for extra security. I’ll definitely come back.

The quiet floors and soundproof rooms made a big difference. I was pleased with the room service, food, customer service, pool, and jacuzzi too. I loved everything about the hotel, and I’ll be back to check out the outdoor pool and terrace.

The lighting was dim, and there weren’t enough hooks for wet towels. We bring clip hangers for that. For four of us, two adults and two teens, the room was fairly spacious and clean. I also appreciated the drawer space, which some hotels don’t offer anymore, plenty of hangers, and the extra mirrors beyond the bathroom mirror so someone could do hair or makeup while another person used the bathroom.
