Dog-friendly Miller Hunting Retreat!

The Wi-Fi was reliable while I worked, and the heater/AC kept the room comfortably warm. Booking was easy, and the gentleman I spoke with was kind. The microwave and mini fridge were clean, though the fridge may have been set too cold because my food froze overnight. There were some clear efforts to freshen the motel, including a recent-looking coat of paint, but it seemed rushed, what I’d call the “landlord special.” The room had a small wall-mounted TV, desk, microwave, and mini fridge. A dirty white towel was on the floor by the entrance as a doormat. I couldn’t charge my phone beside the bed since there were no outlets there, and the bedside lamp had no bulb. The bedspread was old and stained, and the white sheets had several stains too. I slept on top of a sheet and used my winter coat for warmth rather than risk using the extra blanket on the coat rack, though I didn’t inspect it. The bathroom felt tight, and someone larger than me might find it hard to move around. Its door wouldn’t shut all the way. Sink water stayed cold even after I tried both handles and let it run for several minutes, so I skipped the shower in case that was cold too. I stayed one night for work. It was an okay motel and a real asset to Miller. A few small improvements could make it a good option for short or longer stays.
