The Admiralty Suites & Inn Memphis Millington

My stays here are usually just a night or two, and the rooms have always felt clean and welcoming. The TVs have been upgraded to flat screens since April. Beds can be pretty lumpy, though. Even when I arrive late, the staff are helpful and nice. I can't really speak to the longer term amenities.

On my second stay I was given an accessible room with a larger bathroom and walk-in shower. The blankets and sheets still had burn holes, despite being told during my first visit that upgrades were happening gradually. The furniture also varied between the rooms I stayed in. At least the place is cheap and well located, though it doesn't have a proper breakfast. I first came here because my usual hotel was booked, and its front desk suggested this one. I stayed about two weeks total across two visits. The first room was a Jacuzzi suite for a little over $100 a night. Towels and other supplies were stocked, and it was clean, but the blankets had cigarette burns and there was an ashtray in the nightstand despite it being a non-smoking room. It was quiet except for people playing loud music in cars across the parking lot. There wasn't a microwave. On my latest stay, February 9-12, 2016, there were several little roaches in my room. I don't know if it was because the hotel across the lot was being gutted. I was only there briefly and out during the day, so I bought bug spray and dealt with it.

The smell was awful, and the room was dirty. The door wouldn't close all the way, and there was paper stuck in the peephole instead of glass. It was supposed to be non-smoking, but the bed cover had burn holes. There was someone in the parking lot who looked like a crackhead, and we didn't feel safe. We went straight to the front desk, got a refund, and stayed somewhere else.

I wouldn't come back. The beds felt gross, the pillows weren't clean, and nothing in the room looked clean. The bathroom doorknob fell off, and the AC was awful. The free breakfast was okay, at least. We were put in a room that had previously been noted for bed bugs, which left me feeling even more disgusted.
