Red Lotus Inn

After more than 20 hours of flying, I got in late hoping to sleep well. Instead, a dog barking and an argument outside kept disrupting my sleep through the night. I asked the hotel to do something about it, but they offered no remedy: no room change, refund, or discount on a possible extra day. Don't stay here.

The location was good and the room was okay, but service was questionable. We stayed in room 5, where a doorbell rang all evening and there was a lot of noise. The motel has constant traffic coming and going, and the area may feel sketchy if you're not used to places like that. Bring your own things, and put valuables in your trunk if you leave the room. Staff can get directly into the rooms. My card is still on hold because I think the man who took my payment at the desk photographed the back of it. When I asked him, he quickly said, “umm no.” Pay cash, people.

The owner, a lady, put me and my children out because my 4-year-old son was with me. They said he put my room over capacity, and now she's refusing to return my $40 deposit. They'd also moved me from a clean room into one with black mold on the bathroom wall. The room smelled moldy as soon as you walked in.

I wanted somewhere to get away from everyone, and this place was tucked off to the side right next to a Dunkin Donuts, which worked perfectly. The front desk lady was a sweetheart and helped me with everything. Customer service was great, and my room was comfortable and really cute. Everything looked newly furnished. I loved it here.
