AC Hotel Minneapolis West End

Sunny at reception made my work trip easy. She handled check-in smoothly and showed me to my room. The hotel is wonderful, and the staff are attentive and friendly. I’d highly recommend staying here.

The only real drawbacks were the nighttime noise from nearby bars and the lack of a microwave in my room. The noise wasn’t something the hotel could control, but future travelers might want to ask for a room that doesn’t face the street. No microwave was a bit disappointing, though not a dealbreaker. I stayed two nights for work, and almost everything else impressed me. The rooms were upscale, clean, and spacious, the beds and pillows incredibly plush and comfy, just like other Marriotts. All the staff were kind. All in all, a great stay!

The room setup was odd, and the bathroom had almost no privacy. The glass door lets you be seen on the toilet, and the shower has the same issue. It might be fine if you’re alone, but sharing the room with someone else makes it awful. Who wants to watch someone use the toilet, is this prison? The lighting was also too dim for my wife to get ready. The hotel was okay otherwise. The bar staff were great, and the Christmas decorations were fun and unexpected.

The breakfast buffet was pretty good and reasonably priced, and the attached parking garage has a lot of space. Being downtown is a big plus. The hotel has modern, beautiful, clean rooms and modern amenities, and the staff were lovely. They went above and beyond to make us feel valued, especially the front desk team. We had a wonderful two night stay. If you want somewhere comfortable, clean, and enjoyable, I’d highly recommend this hotel. Thanks for the lovely experience!
