The resort itself is fantastic and well maintained, and the people working there were some of the nicest, most welcoming I’ve met. My unit badly needs renovating, though. I rented directly from the owner instead of through the resort, and I’ve learned my lesson.
The landscaping looked beautiful, though we only got to see it on our last day. The app was handy, but I would have appreciated a printed brochure or a dedicated channel showing the amenities and what’s available.
We stay at Bahia often and love it, but this visit we spotted two live roaches on the ceiling while watching TV one night and killed them. The next morning there was another one, dead. There weren’t any pot holders in the kitchen, either.
We had a good time here, and the pool was great. Baytown is close enough to walk to, so we ate and did a bit of shopping there. Customer service was very helpful, too. The bed mattress was awful, though. We could feel the springs and it was really uncomfortable.
After a seven-hour motorcycle ride, we arrived with our vacation condo codes and found out our booking had been cancelled because they’d double-booked the place. They offered a more expensive condo, but only at the higher rate, and wouldn’t make it right. Motorcycles aren’t allowed on the property, so we were told to walk to the resort to sort things out, a 30-minute walk. We’ll never book here again and can’t recommend it. Sterling Shores IV, where we ended up staying, was amazing.
