Courtyard by Marriott Sandestin at Grand Boulevard

The staff were kind, and the location worked perfectly for me, right beside a shopping center and a 10-minute drive from Henderson Beach. I liked the updated Marriott property, with its lobby coffee shop and individual work stations. My only small regret was choosing a patio room overlooking the pool. I could have done without that.

The towels felt like sandpaper, and guests are expected to reuse them. There wasn’t a smoking area at all. The bed was set up with no space on the copilot side, and the TV was beside the bed. Tape covered the elevator’s open and close buttons, and the second-floor button was unreliable.

The hotel was close to the beach, and the rooms were clean and nice. Staff welcomed us, and the whole place smelled fresh and clean when we walked in. We had a great stay and will choose this hotel again when we visit. Definitely recommend it.

The sheets were old and had dirt and stains on them. We asked twice to have them changed, but the staff weren’t accommodating and came across as greedy. We were charged $130 to switch rooms. At other hotels, when we’ve been uncomfortable and asked to move, it’s been handled easily as part of good customer service. I wouldn’t recommend this place or stay here again.
