Pavilion Palms by Southern Vacation Rentals

The bayfront setting is beautiful, with spacious, clean rooms and lovely views, and the apartment itself could have made a great impression. But management problems made the stay awful. Manager Megan gave us the wrong door code when we arrived, so we couldn't get inside. The elevator was also out, and we had to haul our bags to the third floor. It got repaired, then failed again the next day with four of us trapped inside in the heat. Nobody answered when we called for help, so after several minutes we forced the doors open and got out ourselves. Megan didn't even know it had broken again when we told her. On checkout day, our garage access was suddenly cut off, leaving some belongings out of reach. The office was hard to contact, and Megan answered only after we'd already hit the road. The rental agreement says forgotten items can be shipped for $25, but she said we'd owe much more because the garage problem was their fault. We ended up losing the items. The management was unresponsive and careless. It's a shame such a lovely property is undermined by such poor service. I wouldn't recommend it unless management seriously improves.
