Studio Condo in Luxe Sandestin Resort w/ Balcony, Pool, + Walk to Baytowne Wharf

The bay and golf course views were gorgeous, and we got to enjoy both sunrises and sunsets. We were glad our car pass let us enter on the other side of the road and reach the private beach. Everything we needed was close by, and going in late February helped us avoid the crowds. We had a great vacation. Since we were technically at Sandestin Resort, we needed a pass to enter the property. I liked using the QR code for the parking garage, where you park beneath your building and take the elevator straight up.

When I arrived at the first front gate, an employee from San Destin’s property management gave me a parking validation pass. I’d also paid a $10 fee for a “QR” code to park in the garage that serves Elation. The validation slipped off my dashboard, and my car was booted. I had to pay $167, even though San Destin Beach & Golf resort had my license plate from the validation and the QR code I’d paid for. Security doesn’t explain letting a third-party vendor boot a guest’s car. The gate to that same garage was malfunctioning and stayed up all night. Before this happened, I had only praise for property management, but now it seems they don’t care about tenants’ or guests’ safety. Instead, they’re making people pay for parking that the company already approved and charged for. How much is San Destin Beach & Golf resort getting in kickbacks from allowing payparkingtag.com?

The pool was nice, the view was great, and our bed was super comfortable. We loved the location too, close to all the shopping and nightlife in the Wharf!

I paid a pretty penny for this room, and the experience was horrible. The room was as basic and bland as could be, and the online photos must have been enhanced. The balcony was so tiny there wasn’t room to stand or even put a chair, and there was no real lobby. The garage is much too small for the number of rooms, and getting access was a hassle. There was nobody on site to help, and people kept sending us back and forth. A customer service rep said we had to park in the garage for elation, so we drove around until 2:30 a.m. looking for parking. There were three other cars doing the same, and some ended up parking illegally for the night. We chose to park outside, but had a long walk to the elevator and our room. When I finally got into the room, the AC was locked at 74 and it was extremely hot, with the summer weather at 85 outside. We had to spend the night in the heat before getting help the next morning. The sink leaked underneath, so we used some towels to wipe up the floor and the rest for our shower. When we called for fresh towels, they said we only got one set for the whole stay and they don’t change them daily. To me, that’s nasty and just indecent. They told me to wash the towels myself. The towels and sheets had stains in several places, red, brown, and black. I could go on, but I’m completely over this trip. I’d leave early if I could get my money back, but that’s the policy.
