Summer Haven B- Cast a Waves

The photos looked nice when I booked Summer Haven D on Miramar Beach in Destin Florida, but they were very deceiving. We paid about a grand a night and the place was disgusting. There was black mold on the shower curtains and ceiling, a gross stain on the bed, filthy baseboards and wooden furniture, dirty tubs, a clogged shower, and a filthy AC vent. The washer and dryer were broken, and condensation dripped from the ceiling onto our heads. We couldn't use the downstairs closet because it was full of junk. The stairs coming up were a problem, the patio furniture was so rusty you could probably get tetanus, and there were roaches. Parking was a nightmare. The floor in the top master bedroom had so much water damage that it slanted to one side. There's more, but I don't want to type it all out. I was so disappointed. Do not rent this place!

The view was incredible, and the sunsets were one of a kind. Such a wonderful place.

I would give this place an even lower rating if I could. First, my friend's home was cancelled weeks before the trip. The replacement home was in a completely different location from our original choice and didn't meet our standards. Then, the next night after we arrived, realjoy made a bogus complaint that a vendor had knocked over garbage, even though the vendor hadn't even parked where they claimed. I'll never stay at a real joy location.

I fell in love with summer haven 4 and will definitely stay there again. It wasn't the most exotic place I've stayed, but it had everything I wanted. The private beach let me keep an easy eye on my kids from the deck, and there's a beach bar just 50 feet to the right. I could hear the waves from bed. ❤😎
