Unit 29 is nicely decorated, but it wasn't clean or well maintained. There were little hairs everywhere, even stuck to the wall, and what looked like dried blood on the sheets. The bathrooms had no soap, even during a pandemic, and we had to buy toilet paper because only half rolls were left. The curtains were stained and gross. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, with mattresses that seemed old and worn out. The washing machine, toaster, and grill were broken. When I raised the issues with my timeshare broker, they said the grill wasn't fixed because grilling isn't allowed in the complex, even though a gas grill is listed as a condo feature. They brought new sheets and a new toaster, but did nothing about the other problems. Destin Palms oversees the property, and this wasn't the quality I expected. We were extremely disappointed. It's a shame, because the unit has potential to be a nice place to stay.

The clean linens and dishes were a real problem. The bed sheets were dirty, so I called management for replacements, and that was really gross. The sheet on the sofa bed was dirty too, and the kids refused to sleep there. We had to get an air mattress, which I shouldn't have had to do. The beds were all noisy with any movement and weren't comfortable, so the owners should invest in new mattresses. The dishes were dirty, and food was still on the placemats, so I washed them myself. There was also an odd smell around the kitchen and hallway, possibly mildew, that wasn't pleasant while cooking. The comforters were very old, and I'm glad I brought my own. We booked this affordable condo for my family, including our oldest daughter and her family. It had plenty of space, a half bath downstairs, and the showers worked well. The screened porch had lighting and was lovely for sitting out and sharing a meal. The community and clean pool were quiet, grocery shopping was close, and there were plenty of restaurants to choose from. The beach access was a true ten-minute walk or a short five-minute drive. I didn't expect much for the great rate, but I did expect it to be clean. Housekeeping needs to do better, and the owners should invest in the property. First impressions matter. We won't return, even at that affordable rate, though we made the best of our stay. Thank you.
