Wyndham Bay Club II

We'd come back. Our clean two-bedroom suite had a handy layout, with a queen bedroom and private deck, another bedroom with two full-size beds, and a second bathroom. The living area had its own deck, and the kitchen table had bench and chair seating. The kitchen also came stocked with cookware and utensils, and parking was right beneath the building. A free tram made it easy to reach the beach, shopping areas, and other resorts. I would have preferred being directly on the beach, but the tram helped make up for that.

We probably wouldn't stay here again. The room was okay, though a bit dated, and the pool area a few blocks away looked just as old and was deserted. It was freezing when we visited, and there was only a large pool and a kiddie pool, no hot tub. Maybe the place has a different feel in warmer weather. We arrived very late, and the outside signs weren't clear. The property sits in a golf-style community, with rooms around the perimeter and open indoor loop hallways on the upper floors. The first floor is a very tight parking garage, though there was also a decent-sized lot for the number of units. It definitely wasn't the kind of Wyndham experience we're used to. I didn't take any photos.

Nothing special. The unit felt dated and smelled odd, and the pools were well below average. Sandestin was confusing to get around, with very little to do, and even pickleball courts cost extra. I won't pick this place again.

The resort itself has a lot going for it, including four golf courses and beach access. We stayed in Wyndham Bay Club building #1, where the room had cheap, uncomfortable furniture and looked very dated. The shared spaces were dirty and junky, and the building interior felt seedy throughout. It badly needs a revamp.
