The front desk person was lying on the lobby couch when we arrived, which isn't how I'd expect a guest to be greeted. I've worked in hotels for over 20 years, so I know that's not appropriate. Then we found cockroaches under the cable box and on the nightstand between the beds. I had my puppy with me and planned to pay the pet fee, but after seeing the roaches I didn't bother. I won't stay here again.

The room was decent, but there were roaches on the walls. The door lock was broken and the fire alarm batteries had been removed, which are serious safety violations. When we arrived, the receptionist was chatting outside instead of being at the desk and seemed annoyed when we asked for help. It's cheap, but if I had another chance I'd choose one of the neighboring hotels. Stay clear.

I've stayed here for a month at a time, for several months now, and I like the place. It's nice, quiet, affordable, and pet friendly, and the staff are nice too. Not a bad place at all, so come over to Mitchell Inn if you need somewhere to stay.

Four roaches got away during the chaos, and they nearly made off with our chug! Watch out, those bugs are still loose.

I was exhausted and didn’t have the energy to look for another room, but I was really unhappy with this one. There were stains on the walls, no smoke alarm, and it wasn’t accessible for someone with mobility needs. The door had both a deadbolt and a chain lock.
