The town itself was lively and beautiful, and the hotel rooms were big and spacious. That’s the only reason I’m giving two stars instead of one or less. We were passing through on the way to Texas to see the arches, and at first the room seemed great. Then it became clear how dirty the place was. The outlet and light switch covers were yellowed and dusty. There was grime and dust on the clock and behind the tables and beds, and sticky grime covered half the walls. The bathroom door and frame had peeling paint and were filthy. One wall had dark spots under the wallpaper behind the toilet, a tile wasn’t fixed to the wall, and the shower paint was peeling. The rooms need a thorough clean and touch-up, and replacing the light and outlet covers would be a cheap fix. As it is, the hotel feels cheap.

We come to Moab often, but we’ll never stay at this hotel. I’d entered the wrong address for a choice hotel in Moab into our navigation, and when we arrived here around 3pm Feb 19, I went in to check. I explained the mix-up to the man at the desk and asked if he could see whether we had a reservation there. He refused and told me I needed to figure out where we were staying. As I turned to leave, he made a very inappropriate remark. I turned back and asked if he had a problem, and he told me to get out. All he had to do was check if we were at the right hotel, but he chose to be a jerk. I understand good help can be hard to find, but this was uncalled for. I hope the cameras have audio.

Our room was great and seemed recently remodeled, well worth what we spent. We paid like 106 total for two nights. I’ve paid 100 + per night near another Utah National Park for a place three times less in comparison. The hotel has rooms with views. It’s 10- minutes from Archer National Park and 30 minutes+ from Canyonland. Would stay again again.

Breakfast and the hot tub were good, but that was about it. We wouldn’t stay again. When I called to reserve, the woman tried to email us, but we never got the message. Once there, we learned she’d entered the wrong last name. Her accent was very strong, and we couldn’t understand her, and her mistake caused us a lot of trouble. The front desk staff were even worse. We asked them to correct my last name, and they said they would, but it was still wrong. When we asked questions, they didn’t know the answers. One person also spoke so quietly I had to ask him to repeat himself. Useless.

I booked more than a month ahead, but we were put in what may have been the hotel’s worst room, right beside the breakfast room. Preparation started at 6:00am and woke us, then at 6:30 people arrived talking and kids were crying. I’d have asked to move, but the check-in clerk said they were full. The hair dryer didn’t work and the lock was broken, though maintenance fixed both. There were dark spots under the wallpaper behind the toilet, a loose piece of tile on the wall, and peeling paint in the shower. I told the desk clerk that morning and she said they couldn’t do anything because I’d paid through a third party. Their motto says to tell them if something’s wrong and they’ll make it right, but that wasn’t true for us. If you stay there, don’t let them put you in room 137. I won’t be back.
