Wingate by Wyndham Moab

The grassy spots around the property were great for our dog, and the location was good and mostly quiet apart from some noisy guests. Our suite was spacious and clean, though the kitchenette felt cramped, the fridge could be bigger, and the microwave didn’t work. Breakfast had a decent range but was average, with no fruit except apples. Who wants apples in the morning? Might stay again.

We were traveling unexpectedly with our two small dogs, and found the room clean and comfortable at an affordable rate. Breakfast was simple, just bagels and yogurt, but the coffee was good. My husband and I had a great stay and will definitely come back.

Martin’s suggestions for hikes and restaurants were especially helpful, and free bike storage was a welcome perk. The pool was great and its size meant it never felt crowded. We found the room quiet and clean, with very comfortable beds, and everyone was welcoming from the moment we walked in. Breakfast was standard hotel fare, nothing special, but enough to fill us up. We really enjoyed staying at the Wingate and will return to Moab.

The facility was nice and the staff helpful, and they were pleasant when I raised a billing problem. My folio came in $25 above the internet reservation, with higher room and fee amounts. At first they asked me to send proof of the lower price. While I was getting the email address to send it to, they said the manager had found the problem and would correct it. They did fix the amount, so I’m glad, but only after I initiated things. There were two pending holds on my credit card; the corrected charge posted and the other hold disappeared five days later. Maybe it was a fluke, I don’t know, but I worry I’d have paid extra if I hadn’t checked. Make sure the final charge is right after your stay.
