Studio 6 Mojave, CA - Airport

The front desk was friendly and helpful, and the room was reasonably clean. A big plus was that I couldn't hear the neighbors through the walls. The location is okay, but the tracks and Highway 14 are right across the street, so there's plenty of noise. Running the AC or heater helps muffle it, and I slept fine with the AC on. I'll stay here again for work.

It's noisy from the trains, but after a week I got used to them. The motel is older, though clean, and the bed is comfortable. Housekeeping does a good job, and the office staff have been very courteous. The bathroom faucet drips a little, and one burner on the cooktop doesn't work. I'd recommend the place for the price.

OYO AND STUDIO 6 MOJAVE IS A SCAM!!! Don't book Studio 6 Mojave through OYO. This is the second time they've canceled after I prepaid online, and I got no refund. The manager yelled at me, hung up, and wouldn't answer when I called back.

Both times I stayed in room 7, the same guy was working and gave friendly, capable service. I called ahead because I needed a 2 a.m. check-in while traveling from So Cal, but road work meant I didn't arrive until around 3. I'm sure I woke the check-in guy, yet he was polite and efficient. This is by far the nicest Motel 6 I've stayed at, and great value for the service and comfort. I have a big dog and have used Motel 6s since my previous big dog. After viewing a rural property, I came back for a second night even though it added 40 minutes to my drive, because I knew it would be clean, safe, and comfortable. The pool looks purple at night. Mojave's basically a train yard, so you will hear the loud train. To me, that was part of the mystique of being somewhere offbeat. I absolutely recommend it.
