A really lovely stay, especially for families. The lobby was nice, the room felt comfortable and safe, and there are plenty of nearby restaurants, including Palermo’s and Fannie May. The free hot breakfast was wonderful, and the staff were capable, kind, and helpful. Check-in took about 15 minutes to sort out a hiccup because I’d booked through a third party, but they called and resolved it. The room was quite clean, though the area behind the beds where the headboard meets them was dusty and could use a thorough vacuum.

We left in the middle of the night. The bedding smelled like cheap perfume and definitely didn’t seem washed. The bathroom was filthy, with hair in it and in the drawers, and there were food drips on the tables. The room just looked very dirty.

The breakfast food was great, and the gentleman cooking the next day was very pleasant. Donna, though, was rude and made me uncomfortable while I was getting food. She didn’t greet me, and I had to say “good morning” first before she responded. I didn’t have much interaction with the night shift staff, which makes sense given the hours. A young woman working the following morning also wasn’t especially warm, though maybe that’s just her personality. Sue at the front desk and Adam on second shift made a much better impression. Sue was welcoming, helpful, kind, and really felt like the face of the hotel. Adam was polite and made guests feel comfortable and respected. They both deserve recognition for their service. My room was nice and clean, the bed was comfortable, and I appreciated having a good-sized fridge and microwave. I’d encourage management to offer consistent customer service training across departments, especially for staff who interact with guests. A friendly welcome can really shape a stay. There are wonderful employees, comfortable rooms, and good amenities here, but the experience could be more welcoming across the board. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in Chicago.

The only thing that bothered me was the pool. It was advertised as heated, but the water was really cold. I still managed to stay in for about 30 minutes, lol. Otherwise, I enjoyed the stay. The hotel is beautiful and modern, the QNQN room was very spacious, and I love the Dove products. Breakfast was beautiful too.

We always enjoy staying here when we make the trip from Colorado. Shanda was a pleasure to work with, really informative, and gave us outstanding customer service while helping us get exactly what we needed. Thanks so much, girl. Great job, and keep it up!
