Being by the water is my favorite, whether I’m on the forest trail or just sitting along the creek among the Doug fir trees, ferns, trillium, and birds. The Mollalla river, surrounded by forest, has a way of getting into your heart as soon as you arrive up the gravel driveway. The cabins feel ideal for a nature getaway, and the place looks even more beautiful and cared for each time I return. I love the sauna at the bathouse, the outdoor shower, and the traditional wooden tub overlooking the river with the doors open. The community lodge and kitchen have plenty of room to make and share a meal, even when I’m dining alone with the trees. It’s a quiet place to reconnect with Mother Earth, so yoga or wellness retreats, creative getaways, and solo meditation all feel right at home here. Just a space full of wildness and love.
