Comfort Inn Moline - Quad Cities

Dear Mitch, you know what it means if you're holding this letter. They've boarded up the whole house, doors and windows and everything. We're at the Comfort Inn, in room 112. I love you. Frank

It may not look like much, but it has the things that matter: a comfortable bed, fridge, microwave, and a big TV that lets you use Netflix if you have an account. There's no restaurant, and Dennys is closed, but you can take the bus to Walmart or Hyvee in ten minutes. Breakfast was good, though sugar-free syrup would be nice. Management are good people. I'll stay again if I'm in town.

The location was decent, and the best part of the night was walking around the mall across the street and getting Icy Bubbles. Icy Bubbles deserves five stars. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone, even my worst enemy. I asked twice for a refund so we could leave because of the conditions and service, and was refused both times. My first room was 106. There was black mold around the vent, spreading behind the light switch, and the room smelled of weed the whole hour we were there. We could smell it every time we passed that room. They moved us to 108, where the second photo showed more mold, not fancy curtains. The service was atrocious. I spent more time talking to the front desk about the experience than feeling any comfort. It felt more like a night in a prison than a relaxing night with my children, who were supposed to swim. Don't ask for more than the allotted towels either, they aren't fans of that. I'll never return. I'll post the images on social media and pursue reporting what seems like a clear health hazard to whoever I need to. Nobody should have to stay in those conditions.

Both rooms smelled. In the first, the comforter was stained and the sheets had a red stain, so I asked to switch. The second room smelled too, and its sheets were covered in hair and black specks. Clearly they don't clean the bedding. The rooms are dirty. Don't stay here.
