Afterward, the management team got back to me promptly. They were very apologetic, and I appreciate that they were willing to contact booking.com to make sure my refund was processed. I booked a room at Boho Manor for my wedding night, but my fiancé is active-duty military deployed in the Middle East. He told me he wouldn’t be home for the wedding and that I needed to cancel our plans for the foreseeable future because of the war. Boho Manor wouldn’t refund the room and is charging us a $75 cancellation fee. I spent a month going back and forth with them over messages trying to get that fee refunded. We had blocked the whole neighboring hotel, Highland Dell Lodge, for our wedding guests. Its owner, Herb, was kind and communicative, and had no problem refunding our $1,000 deposit and everyone’s room bookings. I would have blocked rooms at Boho Manor too, but their communication was so poor that we never got a follow-up. After how frustrating it was to sort out even one room during an already difficult time, I’m glad we didn’t. I wouldn’t support a business that doesn’t support those fighting for our country, and wouldn’t recommend Boho Manor. Please book at Highland Dell Lodge instead.

The Gatsby-style rooms and the friendly employees made this feel like a magical stay. Lori, Sasha, Melissa, and Curtis shared so much history with us and helped make the experience beyond perfect. I LOVE IT HERE. I’m literally in my Heaven and happy place. I’ll be back many more times, for years to come.

We had such a relaxing time here. The room was spacious, the bed super comfortable, and having our own deck was the cherry on top. It’s a quiet, beautiful setting, with plenty of room to spread out along the riverbank.

The view is amazing, and the place is quiet and relaxing, not too far from the beach. Bodega and Jenner are about 30 minutes away. But really look into what you’re paying for. We paid $500 for two nights and got no service. There was nobody at the front desk, restaurant, or bar for two days, and nobody answered the phone when we needed towels, blankets, and other things. There aren’t even phones in the rooms or at the front desk for emergencies, which is a major hazard. The restaurant is only open Friday and Saturday, there’s no food or coffee until 9-11, and there isn’t a microwave in the room. Our in-room coffee machine didn’t work. Nearby food places don’t open until 3-4pm, so bring food with you. Our room was disgusting, like they’d forgotten to clean it. The towels and blankets were stained, and the beds and outdoor swings were pretty nasty and weathered. It seems like nobody is keeping the place clean. The fire pits aren’t turned on, and the dock isn’t connected to the river yet, so you can only look at the water unless you drive to the other side. At night, a large stray dog without a collar was running around. I think it was a Great Pyrenees. It came right toward my dog, and luckily I was outside to help close the gates so we got ours inside in time.
