I booked on a whim and am so glad I did. The ambiance is wonderful, the food was amazing, and the manager/bartender is great. We had a delightful evening talking with him. I highly recommend spending some time here. You won’t regret it.

The river view from the room was nice, and the bed was decently comfortable. They also provided a fan/heater unit, which was handy. Everything feels pretty old, though it does have that “old world charm.” For a one-night weekend stop on a Sonoma trip, it was just fine. I’d give it four stars.

This is a review of Sarah’s kitchen only. The mushroom soup was fantastic, one of the best I’ve tried. I usually don’t like carrot cake, but this one was so good I finished the whole thing. The hot apple cider is a must-try too. Highly recommend visiting.

What a hidden gem. We loved staying at this beautiful historic hotel, with its bar and restaurant. The food, drinks, and hospitality had an excellent German flair, and both schnitzels were divine.

The service was the best part of our stay. We had a comfortable, quiet, clean room with perfect beds, silky sheets, and soft pillows. We also enjoyed a nice meal and got some good rest. Highly recommend.
