The smart TVs are great for streaming, and there are restaurants, shopping, and a movie theater nearby. Staff were friendly and courteous too. Really good hotel.

My first room had a broken AC, so I was moved to another one. That room had no shower curtain, mold in the tub and on the ceiling, and a bathroom vent that didn’t work. The tub handle came off in my hand, and the bedside lamps had busted charging ports. I reported the problems at the desk and was told I’d get Marriot points, but they never came. I’ve never seen a Marriott this neglected and run down.

The bed frame stuck out far enough to cut my leg, and an iron in my room had a roach attached to it. When I asked the front desk for alcohol and bandages, I waited, then went down myself. All they had in the first aid kit was alcohol and a tiny butterfly bandage. I asked the clerk to look at the railing that had hurt me and could injure someone else. He said he’d come after checking in a guest. About twenty minutes later there was a knock, but I’d finally gone to bed and didn’t answer. Getting my luggage to the room was a struggle too. There were no carts, and the clerk said guests leave them in their rooms. I suggested tracking the room numbers so staff could retrieve carts that weren’t returned, but he said nobody had thought of that. I made three trips carrying everything while he watched, even though he’d said he would help. Construction also meant I had to leave and come back before finding a parking spot. I called the GM and left a message, then left another with a front desk clerk. Nobody has returned or acknowledged either call. This used to be a great place to stay. East Chase has changed for the worse. Please consider staying somewhere else.

My stay was smooth and enjoyable from beginning to end, thanks to Nyree at the front desk. She’s a real asset to the team and showed what great customer service looks like. If she’s the one who greets you, you’ll be in good hands.
