Washington & Lee Motel

I dig this place. It's clean, fun, and inexpensive, and everything works. The green tub and matching sinks, along with the salmon-colored painted wood paneling, give it a retro feel. It's a budget motel, so don't come expecting world-class amenities.

The big problem was the bathroom access: my wheelchair couldn't get past the bed, and there wasn't a grab rail in the bathroom. This motel really isn't disability friendly or ADA compliant. The rest of the stay was comfortable and quiet, with a quaint old-time feel. The rooms are a little dated, but that adds to the charm, and the rate was reasonable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, taking care of our needs and recommending an outstanding restaurant nearby.

The rooms have an older style, and it was a little pricey, but everything else went well!

I've stayed here several times for work in the Northern Neck, and it's become a nice home away from home. The family-run motel has always been clean, the beds are comfortable, and the price is reasonable. They've been accommodating when I've had to check in late, and I haven't had a bad experience yet. There isn't much to choose from in montross, so I'm glad I found this place. Trailer parking is available, and it's easy to get on and off the highway.
