Travelodge and Suites Fargo/Moorhead

I've never written a review before, but this was the worst hotel experience I've had. The staff were very friendly, which is the only good thing I can say. Check-in took 25 minutes, and the staff seemed new and not well trained. The pool was freezing, the hot tub didn't work, and the pool area was absolutely filthy, the worst I've ever seen. Our room's blow dryer started smoking after five minutes and quit. The beds were uncomfortable, and the pillows were lumpy and seemed very old. I was really disappointed.

We had a good stay while relocating with our pet. We appreciated not being charged extra, and our room had no smell from previous animals. Breakfast was fresh tasting and fully stocked every time, and we didn't hear noise from other guests. The train was audible, but just a low rumble that you get used to. We'll recommend this place to visiting family and friends.

The staff were courteous and came right away when I asked for help with my hairdryer. They even lent me scissors to wrap a gift. We enjoyed two days here, with plenty of breakfast choices, a relaxing jacuzzi, and a pool at a comfortable temperature, even though the pool area felt warm in the triple-digit heat outside. We'd requested a first-floor room, but someone who arrived about 30 minutes before us got one. We ended up on the second floor, close enough to the elevator since I can't do stairs. I'd recommend it to friends and family, and we'd stay again if we're in the area.

The beds were really firm, like sleeping on the ground in a sleeping bag while camping. You can hear the train, too, though it didn't bother me and could be an issue for someone else. Still, it's a good place if you're looking for a cheaper stay. The location and price were good, our room was clean, and the staff were friendly and natural, not robotic. Pool and hot tub access and continental breakfast are included.
