We stopped for breakfast while driving to Seward. The portions were generous and the food was good. My husband cleaned his plate of eggs, bacon, and a biscuit. My biscuits and gravy were good too, though they would have been better warm. I didn't say anything or send them back. The gentleman who served us was very nice, and we'd return if we're in the area.

The food was amazing and came out really fast. We stopped on the way back to Anchorage from Seward, and the people were so friendly and accommodating. We ordered fries and a bowl of clam chowder to share, and they split it into cups for us. That was such a thoughtful touch. We'd stop here again.

A picturesque place to stop for photos, and a handy spot for lunch near several trailheads. The restaurant has a cabin feel and no frills, but it hit the spot. Jillian, our waitress, was excellent. I really liked the Reuben and the onion rings. The fish and chips were a little more done than we prefer.

We ate at the restaurant and left disappointed. There seemed to be only one waitress, and she was very busy. My chicken bacon ranch sandwich arrived without the bacon or pepper jack it was supposed to have. Nobody checked on our food, so we eventually flagged down the man who brought it. He offered to remake it, but I'd eaten most of it already, so I asked for the bacon and cheese instead. He brought bacon, but the cheese was Swiss. By then I was over it. The waitress only checked on us after we'd finished, and when I explained what had happened, our bill came with no adjustment for the incorrect sandwich. We won't be back.

It's a calm location near Seward, and the rooms do what you need, though they're a bit iffy and run down for the price. There's no elevator or escalator, so hauling big airline bags up is difficult.
