After more than 20 years traveling for work, from Florida to California and across the West, most motels start to run together. Motel 6 in Morehead, Kentucky stood out because of the people, especially Jay. The manager welcomed me like family, which caught me off guard after staying at 20 or 30 different properties out west. The team aren't originally from town, but they run this place with real care and professionalism. Over a couple of years, they've promptly replaced a broken refrigerator and fixed a TV problem in minutes. No runaround or attitude, just people who take pride in looking after guests. I try to be honest about places, good and bad, and Jay and the team deserve recognition. If you're passing through Morehead, the people here make all the difference.

I live here, and I'm grateful for the place and its owner. It's quiet, feels safe, and the owner is kind and accommodating. My room is great, at least, and I don't think you'll find a better one in Morehead for the price. Pets are allowed, though I'm not sure whether there's a fee. Guests can use the washer and dryer, pop and snack machines, and ice machine. There's free Wi-Fi, Roku TVs with streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, and Paramount, and free coffee in the lobby all day and night. The owner keeps the inside and outside clean and tidy, with no trash left around.

The coffee in the lobby was really good, and the bed was comfortable. The room was clean and bug-free. I'd stay again.

We stayed here last night and would definitely come back. The location was great, the staff were nice, and the room was very clean. The bed was really comfortable, which I appreciated with my chronic pain. It's pet-friendly too. I honestly don't get the bad reviews. Highly recommend!

After days of hunting out in the sticks, the price was hard to beat for a clean bed and shower. The sheets and shower were clean, and I slept fine. The room had a slightly odd smell, though nothing terrible, and you can hear people walking overhead. There's internet, laundry, streaming on the TV, and some free stuff, but you can't adjust the TV volume. Pets are allowed, and the parking lot is well lit.
