Holiday Motel

The room was clean, but smelled of smoke and needed repairs. The shower water never got hot, and the lobby had no air conditioning or place to sit while waiting. Check-in took a long time, and I think they wrote my credit card information on a sticky note. There was no sign showing where to park for check-in, no channel guide for the TV, and no handy outlets for charging. I also couldn’t find any ice.

I stayed with my two little girls, and the place felt disgusting and unsafe. The cigarette smell hits you as soon as you walk in. The sink was clogged, the drain didn’t seem fixed, and the toilet clogged after one flush. Construction started as early as 8am each day for the three days we were there. The TV remote was glitchy and shut the TV off with any button. My dog found a condom wrapper on the floor, which infuriated me with my daughters there. The floors weren’t swept or mopped; my socks turned black and my feet got sticky. Cleaning was poor. I asked for the room to be cleaned, left for three hours, and nobody came. The front desk and cleaner didn’t seem to communicate. I also left a container of hair bands and clips for my daughters, and it was stolen. The condition of the place showed, and I was disappointed. It’s cheap, but you get a cheap experience. Stay somewhere else.

I’ve had no problems here. It’s a cozy spot in downtown Morgan Hill, and the staff are polite. I don’t know what the earlier complaints are about.

For a cheap motel, this is pretty good. The room was clean, service was quick, the AC got cold, and the water was hot. That’s about what I’d expect at this price. It’s on Morgan Hill’s main drag, with plenty of nice restaurants just down the street.
