Hotel Morgan a Wyndham Hotel

I was in Morgantown for a conference, and the staff treated me so well. They were happy to keep my luggage a little longer after checkout until my flight. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. Highly recommend!

We stayed the night before a campus event while visiting WVU. The room was big and clean for me and my son, and the staff, bar team, and valets were all super nice. Great location, just a short walk to Wharf restaurants and Student Union. A perfect stop for a college visit. TY

Hotel Morgan has a lovely vintage look, with a thoughtful remodel and a more intimate, upscale feel than you might expect from a Wyndham Hotels & Resorts property. We were there during a WVU men's basketball game, when the hotel was sold out and hosting the visiting BYU team, as well as a milestone birthday party in the event space. Despite all the activity, service didn’t feel rushed. We got a welcome bag at the desk and a complimentary valet ticket, which was a thoughtful touch. The location is ideal, about half a mile from the waterfront dining area, with river views from some rooms. Iron Horse Tavern is right across the street, and there are other walkable dining options too. Anvil + Ax has a great atmosphere and decor that suits the hotel. The menu looked good, but dinner and breakfast service weren’t available during our stay. There was a sign in the lobby explaining the closure. I understand why dining was paused given the large event and extensive catering, but it would have helped to know ahead of time. Aside from that small inconvenience, it was a wonderful stay. It also seems like a great indoor venue for milestone birthdays or a winter wedding. We’d absolutely come back.

The property is very clean and well kept, and just steps from WVU campus, which is very convenient. The kitchen wasn’t available all day, which was the one downside. Otherwise, it’s a great place.
