Best Western Moriarty Heritage Inn

After a long day driving, the hot tub was just what I needed. The room was roomy and clean, and I had no trouble with fragrances despite being sensitive to them. They welcome pets too. We'll stay again next time we're passing through.

After 30 hours on the road, we needed somewhere at the last minute where the kids and dog could take a break. This worked out perfectly. The hotel was clean, and we even left our expensive bikes in the car overnight under a blanket without any problems. The breakfast was delicious, and the pool was clean and lovely. On all our road trips, it's rare to find one without a strong chlorine smell. They did a great job with the ventilation. If you're driving I-40 and need a stop near Albuquerque, this is a good place to do it.

The heater kept the room nice and warm, and the bed was really comfortable with plenty of pillows. Everything was very clean. The TV looked brand new and let us use Netflix. The hot tub was awesome!

The only two people I can say something nice about were the young front desk attendant who checked us in and the older man making breakfast. Both were respectful, courteous, and always smiled. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it. This was the worst hotel experience I've had. We worked nights, so all we needed from housekeeping was fresh towels and a clean bathroom. We were happy to handle the beds ourselves. The schedule said rooms were cleaned Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, but they missed those days. When we asked about it, we got excuses about not wanting to disturb us, followed by a claim to the manager that staff had been harassed. One woman looked me right in the eye and said I had yelled at her. I had only told her from behind the door to come in or wait because I was asleep. The manager/owner came in while I was talking with the front desk and accused us of harassing staff, then threatened to call my supervisor. I wanted her to call so I could sue for defamation of character if I lost my job over their lies. When I asked what she would tell them, she had no answer. She also claimed my roommate and I had caused problems at the front desk around 6 or 7 one day, but we had to be at work at 6, were gone before then, and spent most of our time working. The hotel I'm at now for work works with my schedule. Housekeeping comes first so I can still rest, and they come every day. Moriarty Best Western made no effort to accommodate us. After that confrontation, I recorded any interactions and filmed us leaving the room and checking out in case they made up more stories.
