This place will argue with you, and when you make your point, they just say, "Not my problem." I arrived to find no one at the desk and waited 30 minutes until I called the number on the sign and the owner showed up. This specific Econolodge doesn't honor third-party bookings. The owner said, "We don't do 3rd party because they don't pay us." After canceling my reservation, he claimed he'd discounted the room, but I knew that wasn't true because I'd stayed there before without using a third party and paid the same rate. If you book through one, expect to pay about $15-$20 more than you agreed to. This isn't good business.

The bed and refrigerator were below par, and my first pillow was nearly as flat as a sheet of paper. The front desk gentleman was happy to bring me another one, so the service was good. If you have nowhere else to stay, this place is okay. The first image shows the original pillow, and the second compares it with the replacement.

The bed was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was clean too. My room had no noticeable issues and was fairly clean. We'd been snowed in at work, so the company arranged rooms for a few of us for the night. I'd read the reviews and felt a bit nervous, but I must have landed one of the "good" rooms. It's no Hilton, just somewhere to wash up and sleep overnight, and I can't complain about that.

The room was fairly clean and the prices were decent, with Gatlinburg pretty close by. But breakfast wasn't offered, there was a constant weed smell outside the room, and a couple of cockroaches were crawling around on the bed at night.
