Holiday Inn Express & Suites Morristown by IHG

Everyone was wonderfully friendly, and the hotel was very clean. Housekeeping was amazing, the decor was beautiful, and the cookies were awesome. Our room was lovely, with a really comfortable and quiet bed. This is one of the best hotels we've stayed at. We'll be back! I could give it only five stars, though it deserved 10.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and check-in was quick and simple. The room was clean, spacious, and nice, with a comfortable bed and a quiet stay. I liked the pleasant lavender and mint smell in the hallway. Breakfast was convenient and nice, especially the little veggie omelets, though the rest was delicious too. I'll add this to my list for next time I'm in the area.

The room was quiet and comfortable enough for a night on the road, and the bed looked freshly made. The bathroom was spotless, and I found no leftover trash. Parking was easy, with plenty of open space. Breakfast was the low point. The eggs were watery, the bacon was almost burnt, and the orange juice came out thick like syrup. There was no apple juice, so I settled for fruit and instant oatmeal. I was short on time, otherwise I’d have tried a local diner. Check-in was quick and the attendant was friendly and professional, but the interaction felt more detached than at other Holiday Inn Express locations I’ve stayed at. The room was also cold when I arrived in December, about 33°F outside and 66°F inside, with the thermostat off. I warmed it up before checking the rest of the room. The microwave still had food splatter inside and on top. Just before I left for breakfast, the fire alarm suddenly blared. I started getting ready to evacuate, but it stopped; nobody else seemed to be leaving. Later I heard staff say bacon smoke had set it off, and the front desk was talking with the fire department. It wasn’t a real fire, just a kitchen mishap. This was okay, though a little below what I expect from Holiday Inn Express, especially for breakfast and those small service touches. I’d stay again if I needed a place while passing through.

Whenever we come from California, we know we can stay here. The Holiday Inn Express staff made us feel welcome and were genuinely kind and accommodating. ♥️
